Borusan EnBW Security Certificates
Companies that keep pace with emerging technologies and prioritise institutionalisation are investing in information security. The energy sector, where information security is of the utmost importance, is also closely monitoring and implementing developments in this area. Finally, Borusan EnBW Enerji, one of the leading organisations in the electricity market, has taken a significant step towards the sharing of company data using the security solutions provided by E-GÜVEN.
As part of the project;
Security certificates based on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) technology have been installed on the email accounts of all Borusan EnBW Enerji employees.
Thanks to these security certificates, emails are now being shared within the company with digital signatures and in encrypted form where necessary.
Signed or encrypted emails are now stored in a secure channel until they are delivered to the end user, in a manner that prevents any external interference whatsoever.
E-GÜVEN Chief Executive Officer Can Orhun: “In today’s world, where information sharing has become almost entirely electronic, information security has become critically important. In particular, the protection of information—a company’s most valuable asset—now requires a professional approach. Borusan EnBW Energy has taken a significant step forward by demonstrating its commitment to this issue, opting for PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) technology, which ensures the highest level of security for data shared electronically. E-GÜVEN’s newly launched “managed public key infrastructure” service offers organisations a fast and cost-effective solution for applications requiring high levels of security, such as email or access to system resources.”
Barış Kökçam, Information Technologies Manager at Borusan EnBW Energy: “All forms of information are of strategic importance in the energy sector in terms of supporting investment decisions and creating a competitive advantage. Consequently, the implementation of advanced solutions to ensure information security has become a necessity. As one of the leading organisations in the sector, we are making significant investments in information security.
İnci Holding E-Signature Project
İnci Holding, established with 100% Turkish capital, moved its signing processes to an electronic platform.
Integrating E-GÜVEN’s Sign and Send solution into its business processes, İnci Holding is able to complete banking transactions quickly and easily at a lower cost. Following the partnership, İnci Holding now completes its payment and cash management transactions online, sending authorised transaction instructions to banks via a much more secure platform rather than by fax.
Electronic and mobile signatures secure transactions, offering the benefits of speed, convenience and low cost. Companies that keep pace with technological innovations aim to gain a competitive edge by investing in digital transformation. Sign and Send reduces the administrative burden of signing for organisations, greatly facilitates the secure transmission of banking orders and enhances the efficiency of business processes. Using E-GÜVEN’s Sign and Send solution, İnci Holding has not only reduced its costs on paper and stationery but has also benefited from high security, speed and convenience in its internal payment controls.
Banking transactions are now completed with increased security
Taner Kerman, Chief Executive Officer of İnci Holding, stated that sustainable growth is made possible by technology-driven increases in efficiency, adding: “We wanted to use technology to maintain our operations more effectively and boost efficiency. Therefore, we have decided to use e-signatures for banking transactions. Thanks to the Sign and Send solution, we electronically sign all our payment and cash management transactions and send the approved transaction instructions to banks via a much more secure platform rather than by fax. We describe our collaboration with E-GÜVEN as ‘paperless accounting’ and regard it as a significant step in the automation process.”
Cost savings of 75 percent
Emphasizing that the Sign and Send application leads to cost savings of 75 percent in operational processes compared to internal approval applications, Can Orhun, Chief Executive Officer of E-GÜVEN, said: “Thanks to our products and solutions, and our innovative applications, we aim to deliver maximum value to companies and make their work easier. Sign and Send boosts organisational efficiency by 60–75 per cent by reducing the margin of error and accelerating business processes. Thanks to its robust encryption feature, our product prevents unauthorised individuals from accessing documents online, thereby safeguarding document confidentiality. The product, which is integrated with e-signatures and mobile signatures, enables users to work comfortably and securely with legally valid documents. It also allows access via mobile devices as well as computers, making managers’ work easier.”
Reduces the margin of error by 80 percent
The product, which enables users to check and correct forms instantly, reduces the error rate by 80 per cent. Data created on paper can be stored digitally with the Sign and Send application. This provides businesses with a permanent solution to their archiving needs. The product, which offers multi-channel communication capabilities, consolidates communication with all organisations into a single channel. Currently operating on an on-premises model, Sign and Send can be leased if required. In addition to banking, the product can be used within the organisation in the legal, HR, accounting and finance departments, and also facilitates communication between dealers.
İpek Kağıt Signature-Free Processes
İpek Kağıt, a long-established and respected company in the cleaning paper sector, has launched the Signature-Free Processes project using the Sign and Send product in order to save time and money while also reflecting its environmental awareness in its business processes. İpek Kağıt implemented this project within the Finance Department in response to the need to make processes requiring approval from finance staff and senior executives more secure and faster. Thanks to this project, all processes that previously required written banking instructions and managers’ signatures have been moved to a digital platform.
Thanks to the project;
The preparation of instructions, circulation among executives, submission to the bank and archiving processes have been accelerated.
Issues such as interrupting meetings and having to sign dozens of instructions have been eliminated for executives.
Executives can now review and sign instructions via their mobile phones using their mobile signatures, without any time or location constraints.
Banks are no longer required to assume the risk of processing instructions with missing signatures.
Cem Akpınar, Financial Affairs Director of İpek Kağıt: “As İpek Kağıt, a part of the Eczacıbaşı Group, we attach great importance to the Signature-Free Processes project in terms of achieving sustainable development. Our decision to implement this project was driven not only by the desire to achieve cost and time savings and make business processes more efficient, but also by our wish to contribute to environmental protection by reducing CO2 emissions to zero. We believe our project will serve as a source of inspiration for the management of many processes in other organisations that involve the circulation of documents and require signatures.”
Opet Signed Payroll Project
Opet, which spearheaded numerous major projects with its innovative vision, has incorporated e-signatures into its business processes both to enhance efficiency and comply with the requirements introduced by the new Labour Law. Based on the provision in the relevant legislation stating that “Companies are required to provide their employees with a signed payslip or one bearing the employer’s official mark, showing the details of the payments made to them”, Opet collaborated with E-GÜVEN, a leading company in the sector, while Eczacıbaşı Bilişim integrated E-GÜVEN’s e-signature product into Opet’s infrastructure. Upon implementation of the project, Opet began providing its employees electronically with e-payslips featuring a valid time stamp and qualified electronic certificate in accordance with the Electronic Signature Law No. 5070.
Thanks to the project;
It is planned to ensure the effective fulfilment of obligations arising from employment law,
and to contribute to employee engagement and the employer brand.
“OPET has always taken a proactive approach through the innovations it has introduced in the fields of technology and IT. This project incorporating e-signatures has further reinforced this. In addition to the time and cost savings achieved in delivering payslips to employees through this integration between SAP and HR applications, significant benefits have also been achieved in other areas. This project is of particular importance to us as it is one of the first to incorporate e-signatures into human resources applications.”
“The Labour Law provides that the burden of proof that an employee sees and receives the payslip lies with the employer. The process of delivering payslips in exchange for signatures is becoming increasingly difficult for companies with a large workforce or operating across multiple locations. Archiving signed copies also creates an additional burden. Opet demonstrated its innovative and technology-driven approach through the e-payslip service it offers to staff members. We are delighted that the application we developed is delivering added value to Opet and its employees.
Set Group Holding A.Ş. System Director Bora Bilgin:
"We believe that the use of e-signatures delivers significant savings in terms of time and manpower by streamlining processes and reducing bureaucracy. We also believe that this is a more secure method than the conventional use of wet signatures. The use of electronic signatures, which was formalised by Law No. 5070, presents a significant opportunity to enhance the speed and security of our internal business processes. The cost of implementing e-signatures, however, is so small that it pales in comparison to the benefits it brings. As part of the Italcementi Group, a leader in its sector in terms of sustainable environmental policies, we place great importance on the most economical use of natural resources. Therefore, we strive to make the most of every opportunity that enables us to reduce the use of paper. We are delighted to have implemented the e-signature solution through E-GÜVEN, which we consider to be the most competent and experienced provider in this field."
Adobe Systems Mediterranean Countries Business Development Manager Evren Arın:
"We are aware that the protection of intellectual property is a challenging issue for rights holders in our country, and that individual creators in particular face greater hardship on this matter. We aim to provide a solution that enables creative professionals to share their work easily and securely by combining Adobe Acrobat with E-GÜVEN e-signature services. We also view this collaboration as a turning point in the wider adoption of e-signatures in our country. Existing e-signature applications are typically developed on a project-by-project basis and operate using proprietary formats; however, the solution we offer leverages the power, ease of use and universal adoption of the ISO PDF document format through Adobe Acrobat." As part of the partnership between E-GÜVEN and Adobe Systems, Adobe Acrobat and E-GÜVEN certificate and time-stamping services are offered with special opportunities.
"Recently, the use of electronic business platforms is rapidly becoming widespread. E-signature is an extension of this. Offering significant advantages in terms of saving time and reducing bureaucracy, this system has begun to be used at various levels of government. The same system had already been in use in European Union countries for several years. The system has now been implemented in neighbouring countries as well. The new system not only speeds up procedures but also facilitates international oversight. This also indicates that business processes will become more efficient for shipping companies. We want to help our members adapt to the emerging international system. We also aim to prevent them from wasting time and money. Therefore, we have entered into a partnership with
E-GÜVEN, an organisation with expertise in e-signatures."
Philip Morris Finance, Information Systems and Administrative Affairs Director Taner Kerman:
"The electronic signature application, launched as a result of collaboration between E-GÜVEN, Turkey's leading banks and our company, was a first of its kind in Turkey. Electronic signatures, forming the first step in our 'paperless accounting' initiatives, not only increased speed, security and efficiency in our business processes, but also eliminated the constraint of signature authorisers being tied to the office.”
ÜNİPA A.Ş. Chief Executive Officer Mehmet Ali Bayraktar:
"Serving over thirty universities in our country, our company has partnered with
E-GÜVEN —a provider with highly effective business partners and references, a robust electronic certificate infrastructure, and a wide range of hardware and software solutions—in the field of electronic signatures. As a result of this collaboration, we will be rolling out a digital campus alongside e-card and electronic and mobile electronic signature applications in line with our university’s vision."
Deputy President of Bursa Customs Brokers’ Association (BUGÜMDER) Suat Yücelen:
"The e-signature application enables a task that carries significant legal and financial responsibilities to be performed quickly and securely. Therefore, e-signatures are of great importance to customs consultants. We believe that this project, launched in parallel with Turkey’s ongoing e-government transformation process, will enhance the efficiency of customs procedures."
